NEW QUAYS AND A NEW IYCA

As you have witnessed over the past year, the Port Vauban has hosted several worksites in 2021, which will lead in 2022 to the delivery of the completely renovated Julien Baudino and Camille Rayon quays and of the new entrance lighthouse. The new Camille Rayon quay will offer relaxation areas dedicated to crews, repair stations and a range of premium services. The Julien Baudino quay, on the other hand, will be completely renovated, including an overhaul of the water and electricity networks, the rehabilitation of the surfaces, the installation of new electrical terminals and new bollards. By the end of 2022, we will have the pleasure of inaugurating the new International Yacht Club d'Antibes (IYCA) building, which will offer top-of-the-range facilities to guarantee a premium welcome. It will feature a crew centre, entirely dedicated to the IYCA crews and will include access to conference areas, a lounge, and a fitness room. Its upper levels will host new catering areas, including a 700m2 panoramic terrace with an outstanding view of the Fort Carré,  Port Vauban and the Bay of Antibes.

The amount in our current account on 31/12/20 is: €115,725.13 MORAL REPORT FROM THE PRESIDENT Many thanks to SRA for lending their room and to V21 for their attendance. Unfortunately, we are unable to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our club in style. The festivities we had planned will now be impracticable because of the current health situation. Daniel ESCAPIN announces that he will be leaving his role as President of ISCAV because he does not wish to remain as a berth leaseholder in Port Vauban. SECRETARIAL REPORT Guy LUQUET pays tribute to Daniel ESCAPIN: He was the first berth licensee at Port Vauban and contributed to the first meeting in a wood cabin in the Pré aux Pêcheurs car park ...50 years ago. A vice President who became president of ISCAV in 2000, he is popular with everybody because he enjoys “talking to people”. He has always made himself available to Port Vauban and has become a crucial figure in the community. The executive committee (Mme MASSON Messieurs LUQUET BASCHUNANA MOUCHON SCATOLIN LAFAILLE LAMMENS) wholeheartedly thanks DANY for his engagement with the club during his presidency and wishes for him to stay in close touch with ISCAV. Who are the boat owners at Port Vauban? Port Vauban has 1642 berths which are broken down into the following categories: 726 berths under berthing agreements, shareholders of the SAEM. 19 berths for Ocean Cruising by concession with IYCA. 460 berths for use by APPA associations, the SRA yacht club, CREPS and the Prud'hommie (fishers). 437 free berths for public use. 4 shipyards. The rental prices for these different berths are not all the same; berth holders owning a boat with a length of under 13 M will also become leaseholders. Today ...there are rumours... Boat owners renting any of the 90 berths belonging to Prud-hommie will see their berth licence fees increase. Several leaseholders of floating pontoons will also incur increases of 30% over 3 years. Leaseholders of general-purpose berths APPA, SRA, CREPS will receive rate increases. At all events, these rental price increases will always be below 15%. Professionals at Port Vauban have a contract that expires on 31/12/21, there are calls for tenders to renew it. Demonstrations condemning these increases have been taking place and will continue to do so in the Port. V21 and the Press The headline news in [...]

SNSN WAS GRANTED 5000 EUROS BY ISCAV

ISCAV gives a check to SNSM Saturday morning November 13 Dany Escapin president of the ISCAV gave a check for 5000 euros to the SNSM. The entire ISCAV office moved to the Vauban port on the side of the Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer (SNSM) station to participate in this moment of sharing. As every year, ISCAV makes a donation to SNSM to support this association, which has become essential for boaters. We visited the new unit of the SNSM, a 17 meter long ship "NOTRE DAME DE LA GAROUPE" powered by two Volvo engines of 550 HP. On board everything has been planned to provide first aid to the castaways and ensure the towing of boats in difficulty.
